| TITLE | Stamford 6762 Care Coat Extra Spray Water & Oil Repellent |
Stamford CARE COAT EXTRA is a water-based fabric treatment designed to be applied to garments after they are cleaned but prior to finishing. When properly applied, the fabric will repel water, water-based stains and oil-based stains. The fabric will be odor free and exhibit a pleasing hand. Since water is the principal solvent, CARE COAT EXTRA is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
METHOD I - SPRAY
CARE COAT EXTRA is applied full strength by any conventional spraying equipment. A professional electric spraying unit is available through Fabritec. Shake container well before using and store above 50°F. The sprayer should provide a fine mist and the fabric should be damp but not soaked. Blot any runs with a towel (paper or cloth). A gallon of CARE COAT EXTRA should treat 15 or more garments. As with any chemical applied as a spray, however, the product should be applied in a booth or well ventilated area and overspray should be controlled, especially on the floor.
METHOD II - LAUNDRY/WETCLEANING
For garments that have a laundry/wetclean label, the total immersion technique may be superior. Add 1 to 2 oz. of CARE COAT EXTRA for each gallon of water in the bath. Ifonly 1 or 2 articles are being treated, a plastic bucket will suffice. Soak the articles for 2-3 minutes, drain and extract lightly if desired. The product can also be added to the final rinse of a home or commercial washer.
DRYING PROCEDURE
This applies to both Method I and II above. Place treated garments in a dryer or reclaimer set on air but with no heat for 5-10 minutes. Then hang to dry or dry in the machine at 180°F for 5-15 minutes. Finish in the normal manner.
Please note the instructions and cautions on the CARE COAT container.
Note: Material Safety Data Sheet available on request.
