FABRITEC 5509 REVIVE is a solvent based detergent, and may be used in perchlorethylene or petroleum solvents. The product contains no moisture, and is normally injected at 1/5 oz. per pound of cleaning. Some components of this modern formulation are attracted to the fabrics and some remain in the solvent. The garments exhibit a pleasing softness and hand. To achieve maximum soil removal, moisture should be introduced by injection up to 1 /10 oz. per pound or by prespotting. Under certain conditions, Revive Tex may also be used as a charged detergent. Your Fabritec Representative will be happy to discuss these options with you.
FABRITEC 5509 REVIVE should be used in conjunction with the following procedures:
Installation: All former detergent and additives should be distilled from the system. Cartridges should be changed if possible.
Detergent additions can be made via a soap funnel, a closer, a Fabritec control or the button trap.
Classification is done in the normal manner; lights, darks, fragiles, household. This may have to be done more selectively during seasons when excessive lint may be experienced.
4. Spotting: General spray spotting is not encouraged although Revive Tex will carry water and thus have some tolerance for this procedure. Lights and fragiles spotted on the wet side should be partially dried and leveled prior to cleaning.
Filtration: Full loads should have a minimum of 10 complete changes of solvent during the cycle. Revive Tex is not recommended for no filter systems.
6. Distillation: A minimum of 16 gallons of solvent per 100 lbs. of garments cleaned should be distilled.
7. Solvent temperature: 75º - 85ºF.
8. Final extract: 2 minutes actual - maximum; less for fragiles.
9. Drying Temperature: 140ºF max. for regular loads, 120ºF max. for fragiles and draperies.
